Eileen Curran is a general assignment reporter for WBZ-TV News. Prior to joining WBZ-TV, Curran was the weekend anchor for WFXT-TV in Boston as well as an evening and morning anchor at WGGB-TV 40 in Springfield, MA.
Curran began her career as a weekday evening news producer for WWLP-TV 22 in Springfield and as a weekend news producer for WVIT-TV 30 in Hartford, CT. Her reporting has garnered her three Emmy nominations and one Iris nomination.
When not on the air, Curran is extremely committed to social issues, having spent three years as a volunteer teacher in inner city schools. Curran is affiliated with numerous social organizations such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Association, Make a Wish of Western Massachusetts, and the YWCA of Western Massachusetts. Curran also volunteers her time tutoring a boy in reading at the Daniel Marr Boys Club in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
Born and raised in Holyoke, Massachusetts, Curran earned a bachelor of science degree in Communications/Media and graduated cum laude from Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Curran currently resides in the Greater Boston area.
