Karen Anderson

Karen Anderson works as a general assignment reporter for WBZ-TV News.  She joined the station in January 2004 after reporting for WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH.

While at WMUR-TV, Anderson received the Best Spot News Award from the New Hampshire Associated Press in 2002 for her reports on the clergy sexual abuse scandal.  In 2000, she covered the New Hampshire presidential primary and was awarded Best Feature Story by the New Hampshire Associated Press for documenting a day in the life of an operating room nurse.  Anderson began reporting in 1995 at KTXS-TV in Abilene, TX, after starting her broadcasting career at CBS4 in 1995 as an assignment desk assistant.

Anderson also served on the Board of Directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of New Hampshire.  CASA helps train volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the court system.

Anderson graduated from Brown University with a bachelor of arts degree in history.  She grew up in Concord, MA and currently resides in the Greater Boston area.
