Reporters
Kathy Curran is general assignment reporter for WBZ-TV News and also is a reporter for the WBZ-TV I-Team. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Curran has been a New England-based reporter for more than a decade. She joined the station as a freelance reporter in 1996 after reporting for several other local television stations. She became a fulltime reporter for WBZ-TV in 1999.
An Emmy-nominated journalist, Curran also worked as an investigative crime reporter at WGME-TV in Portland Maine and as a reporter for WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Alabama.
Before her work as a reporter, Curran worked as a programmer/analyst for Fidelity Investments. She competed in her first marathon in April 2000 in Boston.
Curran received a bachelor of science degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley College and a masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. She resides in the Boston area.
