Report: Cheruiyot Had Malaria For Boston Marathon

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Robert Cheruiyot reportedly had a mild case of malaria when he won the Boston Marathon on Monday.

According to Track and Field News, Cheruiyot came down with malaria in the last couple of weeks.

Malaria is an infection of the blood that is carried from person to person by mosquitoes.

Cheruiyot won his fourth Boston Marathon on Monday in 2:07:46.
