Alzheimer's disease affects more than just the patient, but also their caregivers and frequently the entire family. AD is elevated among the Hispanic community where cultural differences and language barriers may further delay family members from seeking proper medical care.
Yadires Nova-Salcedo is the host and producer of "Centro," a special news segment that airs on WBZ-TV Saturday mornings. "Centro" examines issues of importance to the Latino community including education, politics, current events and entertainment. Nova-Salcedo joined WBZ-TV in February 1996.
