The following recall has been announced because the products may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems:

Wright Popcorn & Nut Company Inc. is recalling two products that contain peanuts. The company said it has not received any consumer illness complaints. The recalled products were distributed nationwide.

The recall includes:

- Wright's 2 1/4 ounce Carmelcorn Bars containing dry roasted unsalted split peanuts; UPC code 0 4840 04120 8; packed 50 per case or sold individually.

- Peanut Corp. of America's Small Chop Peanuts, 30 pound bulk boxes.
