The recession isn't stopping travel agencies from putting together some really affordable trips for these tough times.
And it turns out people are in the market for a good getaway.
There are some incredible deals available this weekend at the Boston Globe Travel Show taking place at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.
"This is an amazing time to buy," said Simon Goodall with Vacation Outlet. "We haven't seen pricing like this in years."
"We are ready to travel," said Medford resident Martha Flores. "We only need money, ha ha."
The Flores family of four is not traveling this year but they are shopping around.
"We'll build the budget enough so we can go somewhere next year," said Ronny Flores.
Because people are watching their pennies travel agencies are offering discounts and special deals.
Ben and Michelle just got engaged and are looking for their honeymoon.
"We are looking for the best bang for our buck," Michelle said.
For those families who can't afford to travel too far from home there are plenty of what they are calling "staycations" right here in New England, such as camping.
