Tweeter Begins Liquidation Sale
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Tweeter has begun liquidation sales.
The struggling consumer electronics chain is offering products for at least 10-percent off. There are no returns and stores will not accept checks. Gift cards are welcome for now, so if you have one, use it soon.
Tweeter closed its distribution centers last week and has been bought by an unnamed liquidator, according to the industry trade publication "
This Week In Consumer Electronics" (TWICE).
Tweeter was sold to an investment firm last year in a bankruptcy auction for a reported $38 million.
Tweeter has 13 stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
The Massachusetts Attorney General's office recommends using any Tweeter gift cards right away. Consumers who have concerns about their Tweeter purchases can call the A.G's hotline 617-727-8400.
