Maybe her 15 minutes of fame aren't up yet. Carrie Prejean's sex tape is the hot ticket of the adult world at the moment. And Vivid, one of XXX's leading pornography companies, is making Prejean an offer she will probably refuse.
The porn video distributor announced Friday that they obtained a copy of the solo video and would like to distribute it, according to CBS station KCBS-TV in Los Angeles.
"We've now seen the footage that has been so much in the news lately, we've reviewed it and we are ready to negotiate with Carrie," Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said.
"The footage we saw is a series of very graphic and hot clips. Let's just say that she appears to be totally enthusiastic and is thoroughly enjoying herself. Carrie says the tape was `The biggest mistake of my life.' That may be, but she can take this mistake and turn it into cold, hard cash."
Hirsch said the third party that brought the tape to Vivid affirmed that Prejean was over 18 year old when she made the tape. Prejean, however, insisted on "The View" that she was 17 at the time and made the tape for a boyfriend.
If Vivid acquires the rights to the the tape, it would be distributed under the Vivid-Celeb imprint, which has distributed tapes with Shauna Sand, Kim Kardashian and Ray J, Jimi Hendrix, Vince Neil and others, Hirsch said.
"I'm convinced more than ever that this could be our best-selling Vivid-Celeb tape," Hirsch said.
Prejean has acknowledged making the sex tape. The entertainment Web site
RadarOnline.com reported Friday there are actually eight sex tapes involving Prejean and a slew of nude and semi-nude photos. The Web site's report doesn't name its sources or describe whether it was in possession of the alleged tapes and photos, but offered descriptions of the former beauty queen's appearance in one video and several photos.
Vivid, which describes itself as "the world's leading adult film studio," offered Prejean $1 million in May to star in a pornographic movie, an offer it repeated this past Wednesday.
Prejean, 22, formerly of San Diego, initially drew national attention for responding to an interview question at the Miss USA Pageant by saying she was against same-sex marriage because of her religious beliefs. That answer, she said, caused her to finish in second.
She quickly became a conservative spokeswoman for family values, even as revealing photos of her surfaced, and she was eventually stripped of her Miss California USA title for failing to abide by contractual agreements.
Prejean sued the pageant and its officials, claiming her crown was taken away because of her religious beliefs.
The pageant countersued Prejean in October, asking to be reimbursed for breast implants they purchased for her.
The two sides settled after pageant officials reportedly showed Prejean -- and her mother -- a copy of the sex tape, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
Prjean made a short but dramatic appearance on "Larry King Live" Wednesday, in which she refused to answer King's questions about the dropped lawsuit. When pressed,
Prjean refused to answer the question and threatened to walk off the show.
