Nick Nolte's Son Accused Of Dealing Drugs
Arrested On Charges Of Possession
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) ―
The 18-year-old son of actor Nick Nolte and former West Virginia resident Becky Linger Nolte has been accused of dealing drugs.
A criminal complaint filed in West Virginia says Brawley King Nolte, of Malibu, and a 21-year-old man from West Virginia were arrested early yesterday and charged with a felony count of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
The complaint says State Trooper B.G. Wriston stopped Southern in in Saint Albans, West Virginia, for having a broken front headlight. Brawley Nolte was a passenger in the car.
Officials say Wriston smelled marijuana, entered the vehicle and found a freezer bag containing 70 grams of marijuana.
Both men posted $2,500 bond yesterday evening and were released from South Central Regional Jail.
Linger Nolte and Nick Nolte lived for a short time in Charleston before their divorce in 1994.
Brawley Nolte had roles in the 1996 film "Ransom" and the 1997 film "Affliction."
