The surrogate mother for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick gave birth to twin girls in an Ohio hospital Monday, reports
CBS affiliate WTRF-TV in Wheeling, West Virginia.
The celebrity couple was reportedly with the mother at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
Publicist Simon Halls told the Associated Press that Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 pounds and 11 ounces, and that Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds.
It was just last week that the Associated Press reported that two Ohio police chiefs were being investigated in a suspected burglary aimed at supplying a tabloid with photos and other information about the surrogate mother, Michelle Ross.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to WTRF-TV.
Parker, the 44-year-old star of the TV show and film "Sex and the City," and Broderick, her 47-year-old husband and fellow actor have been unable to conceive since Parker gave birth to a son, who is now 6.
