Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Amber promises Daniel that she will prove his innocence and get him out of jail. Deacon tempts Amber with evidence that could set Daniel free. When Amber doesn't believe him Deacon plays her a tape of Balfour stating that they set Daniel up. Deacon explains to Amber that this is a one-time offer and she either sleeps with him tonight or Daniel stays in jail.

Nick and Phyllis bring Summer home but are a little heartbroken when Summer has some difficulty with her words. Nick assures Phyllis that they are going to get through this as a family. Paul and Nikki inform Nick and Phyllis that Mary Jane's entire background was fabricated but Paul has yet to find out why. Victor offers to hold a press conference and offer a reward on information leading to Mary Jane's whereabouts. Upstairs, Adam listens to Paul and Victor's conversation about the press conference. Adam begs Heather for her help to stop Victor from sending him to a halfway house but Heather doesn't understand why Adam would want to stay on the ranch. Later, Ashley asks Adam to be the baby's godfather and Adam is overcome with guilt. Adam sets off this ankle monitor on purpose while warning Mary Jane that Victor is offering a reward for her arrest. Meanwhile, Nick remembers seeing Adam with some of Ashley's clothes and wonders if there was more to the story then Adam led on. Gil arrives looking for Adam who is only steps behind him. Adam plants the story that he was chasing a woman matching Mary Jane's description on the grounds. Later, Gil finds Mary Jane's things in the potting shed and shows them to everyone in the main house. Victor hides his connection to Mary Jane and decides to keep Adam at the ranch for everything he has done. Meanwhile, all alone, Mary Jane wanders down an alley wondering where she can go next.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Casey gets a reacceptance letter from Oakdale U. Casey's excited about it and would announce it to Margo, but Riley draws her attention instead. Margo looks at the letter and is thrilled for Casey. Riley suggests throwing him a party to show how proud they all are. Casey thanks Bob for his letter of recommendation. Tom invites Bob over, and Riley gets Alison to come along. The family meets at Tom and Margo's for the surprise party. It's a little awkward when Alison shows up. When Casey arrives, he heads right back out to the porch. Margo brings him back in. Riley steers Hunter away and Casey and Alison talk. They hit it off, again, and later they meet on the hospital roof and kiss.

Larry gives Hunter a music box that belonged to Aurora. Larry also tries to help Emily by explaining to her that he knows a doctor who can assist her with IVF treatment. Emily just wants him to go away and not come back, which pleases Susan. Emily has a tough time bonding with Hunter, who just wants to listen to the music box and be alone right now.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Ridge and Taylor make plans to secure a future together and are excited to share the news with their children. Whip proposes an innovative idea to the Jackie M crew that he guarantees will garner the company a great deal of publicity. After her heated conversation with Steffy, Brooke has a change of heart about her relationship with Ridge.


GUIDING LIGHT

Olivia informs Emma they're going on an adventure but Emma wants to go to camp. Olivia confronts one of Natalia's old bosses and handcuffs herself to the bar, demanding to know where Natalia is. Olivia gets arrested and makes a call to Josh, asking him to come get her.

Phillip explains to Alex that Alan told him about Vietnam. Alex says that it was the defining moment in Alan's life, and when she lost the brother she loved. Alan digs out an old cigar box and finds the old newspaper clipping death announcement of the young soldier, pictured with his wife and baby. Alex reveals to Phillip that Alan sends an anonymous check to the widow every year. Phillip can't believe the guilt Alan has been carrying all these years. Phillip gets the address for Joanne Pierce then explains to Alan that he's fulfilling another dream of his and visiting a bunch of classic minor league ballparks. Phillip uses reverse psychology to get Alan to come on the trip with him.

Mallet reveals to Dinah that he's doing the best he can with the knowledge that Marina could be the murderer. Dinah reminds him to choose happiness. Ashlee explains to Josh that she is helping Dinah put together a feature on Jeffrey's life. Reva wants whoever did this to Jeffrey to suffer. Marina and Reva watch their babies play together and Reva tries to keep herself occupied. Dinah and Ashlee work on the project together. Dinah gets too emotional to finish the speech about Jeffrey and she has to walk out. Marina leaves a message for Mallet and suggests they go to the park together. Mallet listens to Marina's message then tosses his phone in his bag and continues hitting baseballs. Shayne informs Reva about the project Dinah is working on. Reva admits she feels a connection to Dinah since she was the last person with Jeffrey. Reva watches Colin sleeping then picks up Jeffrey's guitar and strums a few chords. Mallet finally admits to Marina that he knows that she killed the man she thought was Edmund. Dinah finds Shayne flying a kite in the park, then notices a ring tied to the tail. Shayne asks Dinah to marry him.
