Soaps Update

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Here are the daily soap opera summaries for "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "As The World Turns," and "Guiding Light."

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Jana and Kevin are stunned when Daniel tells them that he never wants to see Amber again. Meanwhile, Amber confronts Deacon, demanding to know if he is going to send the D.A. the evidence he has that can clear Daniel. Later, Daniel explains everything to Kevin and Jana and they understand why Amber did what she did, while Daniel continues to feel hollow inside.

Heather shows Michael the DVD she received and he pushes her to be compassionate and get Daniel released from jail. Later, Amber calls Michael to confirm that the D.A.'s office received the DVD and Amber demands that Heather and Michael come to the G.C.A.C. to speak to Deacon in person.

Victor surprises Ashley with the same gift he gave her on Valentine's Day, the seat on the Newman Board of Directors, however, Ashley wonders about Colleen's presence on the board. Meanwhile, J.T. tells Victoria not to be like her father and demand Colleen's resignation from the Newman Board for merely acting her age. However, J.T. is disappointed when Victoria refuses to stand up to Victor and do what he knows is right. Later, Victor persuades Ashley that Colleen stepping down was her choice.

Colleen tells Billy everything that happened at Jimmy's and Billy refuses to let Colleen back down without a fight and he offers her his help, knowing Victor was behind setting her up. Later, Colleen and Billy meet with J.T. and Victoria and Victoria asks Colleen to resign from the Newman Board. Billy offers that Colleen makes a public apology but Victoria refuses to budge.

When Heather and Michael arrive at Deacon's hotel room, Amber goes on a rant about Deacon's involvement in Daniel's frame up. Heather doesn't buy a word of it and is convinced that Amber's
accusations are only an excuse for her to cheat on Daniel. Later, Michael goes to see Daniel while he is with Jana and Kevin and tells him that he has been granted bail, thanks to Amber. Moments later, Daniel calls Amber and tells her that he needs to see her.

J.T. and Victoria meet with Victor and J.T. tells Victor that Victoria knows everything about Colleen and his assignment to dig up dirt on her. Victor asks for J.T.'s resignation immediately.


AS THE WORLD TURNS

Casey and Alison take in a concert on the roof and start to kiss, but are interrupted by an emergency phone call from Margo: Tom wants to send Riley to Milwaukee to work. Margo wants Casey to talk to Tom about it. Tom is worried Riley and Margo are having an affair. Casey talks Tom down, saying sending Riley away will only show that Tom doesn't trust Margo. Margo and Tom spend some quality time together as Casey catches up with Riley at Java before heading back out with Alison.

Craig does get a job for Teri - as a babysitter for the kids at Milltown. He promises her a job at Metro after the summer. Rosanna is angry that Craig's promising things that Carly will have to deal with when she returns home. Jack also hears this and doesn't want a stranger watching his kids. He wants to take Sage and Parker to the farm for the summer but Rosanna insists they stay at Milltown per Carly's wishes. Later, Teri is visiting Sage at the farm when Jack sees her and thinks she's stalking Sage. Janet hears the commotion and comes out and sees that Teri is actually Theresa, her little sister.


THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

Eric questions Ridge about his feelings for Brooke and his intentions with Taylor. This line of questioning gets Ridge's mind swirling with wonder of where his heart truly lays. A visit from a
relentless Brooke makes Thomas and Steffy fear that she may ruin everything between Ridge and Taylor. To ensure this won't happen, Steffy takes matters into her own hands to keep Brooke away until Ridge and Taylor are married. Tired of Whip belittling him, Owen combats by overtly flaunting his marriage to Jackie. Stephanie tries to get Whip's focus back on Brooke.


GUIDING LIGHT

Phillip enters reeling from the treatment options Ed has given him, to encounter Alan and James arguing over James' future. Phillip begs James to think before he acts in hopes of breaking the father/son battle that has followed so many Spauldings. He tells James he has a plan to put it all to an end. Convinced Phillip is planning to take over the company, Alan comes to Company to find Rick and see if he has heard of Phillip's plan. He runs into Ed who reassures Alan Phillip has not been in town long enough to plot just yet. Phillip covers when Rick catches him on his way to meet Ed. Once alone, he tells Ed he's going to decline the treatment and take the two months he has left. Phillip says he has a lot of work to do in these months to help Alan and the family come together. Ed promises he and Lillian will continue to help as they can. James shares with Alan that Phillip mentioned a plan to help the family and Alan takes this as confirmation that Phillip is planning to take over the company. Phillip tells Alan and James he must leave town for a few days to follow up on information that could change their lives. Alan offers to accompany Phillip on his trip.

While trying to figure out how to cover the cost of a leaking roof and a broken stove at Company, Buzz and Frank get a call that Coop's belongings are still in his locker at school. Mel informs Cyrus that Remy convinced her to take his case. She tells him it's time to be serious, charm won't get him out of this one. As Buzz goes through Coop's old things, he finds everyday items but he also finds the notebook and tapes labeled "Jenna Bradshaw Project". Mel tells Cyrus Buzz is willing to testify on his behalf but the case is still looking difficult. Cyrus says they better figure something out because he still has work to do in the world and there is a reason Buzz believes in him. Buzz rushes in with the box of stuff from Coop's locker. He listens to a tape from Jenna, and realizes Coop had done months of research for his book. Buzz confronts Cyrus to see how much he knows about Coop's book. Buzz tells Cyrus he is posting bail so Cyrus can help Buzz figure out all the materials on Jenna that Coop left him.

Marina and Mallet get started on the unofficial investigation to clear Marina's name. As Mallet brings Marina the dumpster to look at the stroller, he explains why he got frustrated and broke the stroller into pieces. They head off to find clues that don't lead to Marina. Marina continues to bring Mallet to sites related to the murder in order to find clues that point elsewhere from her.
Mallet and Marina show up at the Police Station to grab a file but find no one there.

Dinah and Shayne enjoy a private moment of celebration when Matt interrupts them and they announce their engagement to him. Matt reminds Dinah to focus on her bright future with Shayne and to keep quiet about the murder. Matt reminds Shayne that Dinah has been through a lot and deserves to be happy. He is pleased when Shayne promises to make her happy. Dinah tells Alan she is engaged to Shayne and jokes they are all in the family now. Alan laments he has enough family to control and Dinah suggests he stop trying to control them. Dinah enters to find Mallet and Marina pouring over the case and is surprised to find out it isn't a closed case. Dinah thanks Shayne for knowing her and loving her anyway. As Mallet and Marina rush around to finish their errands, Marina remembers she was shopping on the day in question and has receipts to show her where abouts and clear her.
