Friendly's Bans Trans Fats
WILBRAHAM (AP) ―
Friendly Ice Cream Corp. has joined other restaurant chains to make its food trans fat free.
The Wilbraham-chain announced the change Wednesday, though it's been cooking without trans fats since September.
Cooks at Friendly's 505 restaurants now use a canola oil product, instead of a soybean oil that has trans fats.
