A Belmont-based baker and ethnic food store has voluntarily recalled some of its packages of pistachio nuts after a supplier indicated that some may be contaminated with salmonella.
Eastern Lamejun Bakers Inc. said on Friday that its recall is limited to its packages of "Pistachio Nuts California" sold at its retail store in Belmont.
The product was packaged in a plastic bag with a twist tie and weighted between 0.75 and 1 pounds and was labeled as "California Pistachio Nuts, 136."
The company's California-based supplier, Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc., temporarily shut down after recalling more than 2 million pounds of potentially tainted nuts last week.
The bakery says there have been no reported illnesses in Massachusetts.
