Stolen $20,000 Bottle Of Wine Found

HOPKINTON (WBZ) ― A $20,000 bottle of wine stolen from a store in Hopkinton last week has been recovered and returned to its owner.

The 1945 Mouton Rothschild was taken from Hopkinton Wine and Spirits on West Main Street July 29.

It's still not clear where the bottle was found.

There have been no arrests.

Police were looking for two men and a woman who were caught on surveillance video during the theft.

The woman distracted the clerk while two men grabbed the $20,000 bottle and three others before leaving the store.

Two of the other bottles were worth $875 each. The fourth bottle cost $300.

Investigators believe the thieves may be trying to resell the wine.

The men are described as white, about 20 to 25 years old, weighing about 170 to 190 pounds.

The woman is described as white, 23 to 28 years old, weighing about 120 to 140 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hopkinton Police at (508) 497-9785.
