Enhance Your Workout With Kettlebells
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
If you're looking for a new way to get the most of your workout, personal trainer Kathleen Aicardi says kettlebells may be the answer.
"It combines cardio core and strength. If you want to get the most efficiency of your workout in terms of time, kettlebells is the way to go."
Kettlebells started in Russia 200 years ago and started taking hold in the U.S.
The Russians used kettlebells to train Special Forces and their Olympians, and now people are using it here for increasing strength, flexibility and endurance.
Kathleen says you start to see results right away. "And it's good for people of all ages and ability levels -- Even people with arthritis or who are recovering from other injuries."
"I've been doing this for a month and I can tell a big difference," said one kettlebell user. "I had an injury in my hip and it's really help to heal."
Once you learn the moves from an instructor, unlike other workouts, you can buy your own kettlebells to use in your own home at your own convenience.
