Study: Mass. Smoking Ban Is Saving Lives
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
A new study provides the strongest evidence yet that the ban on smoking in bars and restaurants in Massachusetts is saving lives.
The ban went into effect four years ago. Since then, nearly 600 fewer people have died from heart attacks each year in Massachusetts.
That study was done by state officials and Harvard researchers.
