Guidelines and details for requests
The WBZ-TV staff enjoys participating in community events across the region, and we're always delighted to receive your kind invitations. Because WBZ-TV is a major media company, the staff must maintain unquestionable objectivity and credibility. Therefore, WBZ-TV employees can only accept invitations from charitable organizations, non-profit civic and professional groups, schools and educational programs, and community outreach organizations; and we cannot appear at commercially driven or politically motivated events. Keeping these guidelines in mind, we welcome your invitations and will make sure each one gets careful consideration.
WBZ-TV's Community Calendar spotlights events throughout New England. Calendar items pertain to WBZ-TV station events and events in the community that benefit non-profit organizations. There is no fee for event listings on the Community Calendar as they are provided as a public service of WBZ-TV. Please submit your listing at least 4 weeks prior to event.

WBZ-TV Boston accepts public service announcements. If you wish to make a submission, please send your PSA at least 6-8 weeks in advance of your ideal start date.
WBZ-TV requires BETA SP format rather than VHS for quality purposes. The most common lengths are 10, 15, 20, 30, or 60 second spots.
Please include a letter containing the background of your organization, and we ask that you provide an expiration date for when the tape should be taken out of rotation.
Due to the large volume of PSA's received on a weekly basis, not all tapes will make it into rotation, and tapes will not be returned. If you wish to submit a PSA, please mail it to:

On occasion, WBZ-TV will agree to license video footage of our newscasts to other organizations for broadcast or corporate development. If you have received video from Corporate Media Services (information above) and you want to have your licensing request considered, please submit a detailed, written description of exactly the WBZ-TV video you have secured, how you intend to use the video, how much video you intend to use, and when you intend to broadcast/present the video.
You can mail your request to: WBZ-TV, Attention Communications & Public Affairs Department, 1170 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, MA 02134. Or you can email your request to prassist@boston.cbs.com.
Please understand that WBZ-TV is a major media company and therefore a very limited number of these requests will be able to be fulfilled. Please allow up to four weeks for a response. Thank you!
WBZ-TV maintains reports concerning its educational and information programming for children in its public file, located at 1170 Soldiers Field Rd, Brighton, MA 02134. Interested persons may inspect these reports during regular business hours.
