Driver Ejected, Killed In Crash On 128

LEXINGTON (WBZ) ― A driver was killed in a crash that tied up traffic on Route 128 for miles during rush hour Tuesday morning.

It happened on 128 north in Lexington near Route 2A just after 6 a.m.

State Police say 60 year-old Benjamin Nahabedian of Arlington lost control of a 2007 BMW X3 and hit a 2005 Nissan Altima.

The BMW rolled over several times before landing in the grass near the breakdown lane.

Nahabedian was ejected. Police say the Nissan driver, 57-year-old Joseph Grace of Framingham, was not hurt.

Nahabedian was rushed to the Leahy Clinic in Burlington, where he died.

State Police shut down two northbound lanes after the accident, which backed up traffic for 14 miles.

WBZ's Rich Kirkland said southbound traffic was backed up 15 miles as curious drivers looked at the crash scene.
