Missing Soldier's Wife Gets Her Green Card

LAWRENCE (WBZ) ― WBZ has learned that Yaderlin Hiraldo, wife of missing Lawrence soldier Alex Jimenez, has received her Green Card.

Yaderlin was facing deportation because she came to the U.S. illegally before marrying Jimenez.

Jimenez has been missing since his army unit was ambushed in Iraq last month. U.S. Senators and the Army intervened on Hiraldo's behalf, once it was discovered she might have been deported. "She hasn't wanted to ever be concerned about her immigration problems because she's using all of her focus and energies to hope and pray that her husband's gonna come home alive," said Attorney Matt Kolken.
