Deadlocked Pring-Wilson Jury Resumes Deliberations
CAMBRIDGE (WBZ) ―
One day after declaring itself deadlocked, the jury in the trial of a former Harvard grad charged with manslaughter has resumed deliberations.
Jurors told Middlesex Superior Court Judge Christopher Muse on Monday they were unable to reach a verdict in the case against Alexander Pring-Wilson. This announcement came six days after deliberations.
Muse told the jurors to return on Tuesday and continue to deliberate until a unanimous decision could be reached.
Alexander Pring-Wilson was convicted of manslaughter in October 2004 in the death of 18-year-old Michael Colono during a street fight.
Pring-Wilson was granted a second trial after it was ruled by the state's highest court that juries should be able to consider a victim's violent history if it's relevant to a self-defense claim.
