Love Triangle Murder Trial Begins

WOBURN (AP) ― Jury selection has begun in the trial of a New Hampshire man accused of killing his ex-lover's husband and another man at a Wakefield concrete company in 2006.

Prosecutors say Sean Fitzpatrick shot 39-year-old Michael Zammitti because he wanted a relationship with Zammitti's wife. Chester Roberts, a handyman for Zammitti's company, was shot when he walked into the office after Zammitti had been shot.

Fitzpatrick lived in Freedom, N.H., where the Zammittis had a vacation home.

Michelle Zammitti told police she and Fitzpatrick had an affair in 2005. She said she told Fitzpatrick several weeks before the killings that she would not leave her husband.

Fitzpatrick denies killing the men.

Jury selection in his double-murder trial got under way Monday in Middlesex Superior Court.
