The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has completed its autopsy of a Framingham man who was fatally shot yesterday morning.
The cause of death for Edward Schiller, 39, has been determined as a single gunshot wound to the head, according to the Medical Examiner. The death has been ruled a homicide.
Newton police responded to 345 Boylston St. in Newton at about 9:30 a.m. yesterday for a report that a man had been found shot in his vehicle in the private parking garage adjacent to the office building. Upon arrival, officers found Schiller in the driver's seat of his blue 1999 Nissan Maxima sedan, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Schiller was an employee of Aronson Insurance Agency, which is located in the building at 345 Boylston St.
No arrests have been made in connection with the homicide. But according to the Middlesex district attorney's office, Schiller's death does not appear to be a random incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
