5 Mass. Towns Make Best Places To Live List
BOSTON (WBZ) ―
Five Massachusetts towns made the cut in Money Magazine's annual list of the "Best Places to Live" in America.
Milton was the highest rated town, coming in 7th.
Milton's proximity to Boston and its bordering of conservation land were considered positives, while the survey saw its traffic and lack of commercial activity as negatives.
Economic opportunity, schools, safety and crime, entertainment and a sense of community were all factors in the survey.
Other local towns to make the list included Chelmsford, 21; Easton, 48; Westborough, 73; and Wilbraham, 94.
Middletown, Wisconsin's small town charm and booming economy helped it secure the survey's top spot.
The highest ranked New England town was
Hanover, New Hampshire, which came in 2nd overall.
