Red Sox fans who have tickets for the home opener Tuesday will see a much different Fenway Park. Over the winter, several improvements were made to the 94-year-old ballpark.
The most dramatic change is the new open air seats that were previously behind glass in the .406 club. The Red Sox have created two separate seating areas and two enclosed lounges within that space.
A new staircase was built near Gate D, which should alleviate some congestions. Several concourses have also been widended.
There will be more concession areas including two new Dunkin' Donuts stands. Additional restrooms were also built.
The team also installed a new sound system.
Opening day is April 11 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
