Students Assaulted Inside Boston Univ. Dorm

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Two men were arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting female residents in their rooms at a Boston University dorm. B.U. police arrested the men inside Claflin Hall and identified them as students at another area college.

According to The Daily Free Press, the men were let into the dorm by two female dorm residents who did not know the men. Those two women could face disciplinary action for breaking school rules.

A female student who lives on the 4th floor of Claflin Hall said she woke up around 4 a.m. when a man got into her bed and wrapped his arms around her. She said a second man stood in the doorway and both men eventually left without physically harming her.

Just down the hall, three women said that one of the men entered their room and tried to climb into a bed that was on a raised loft. Those women were also uninjured.

Boston University police responded to the scene, located the suspects and arrested them.

Several witnesses said both men appeared intoxicated. In both cases, according to school officials, the dorm rooms were left unlocked.

The school sent out a note reminding students to lock their rooms, and not to sign strangers into school dorms.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
