Threatening Note Sends High School Into Lockdown

WORCESTER (WBZ) ― Burncoat High School in Worcester was in lockdown for a couple of hours Monday morning after a student found a threatening note.

According to the Telegram & Gazette, it was a three-page letter that included threats of violence. The paper reports the letter-writer claimed he or she was sick of bullies, had a gun and would shoot people.

City and state police checked the school and lifted the lockdown order around 11 a.m., about three hours after the note was found. No one was hurt.

Police have still not found the person who wrote the letter.
