FOXBOROUGH (WBZ) ― The stars were out Saturday night for the Grand Opening of the CBS Scene at Gillette Stadium.

Tom Brady and other members of the New England Patriots attended the restaurant opening as well as some CBS television stars.

Neil Patrick Harris of 'How I Met My Mother', Emily Proctor of 'CSI: Miami', Dennis Haysbert of 'The Unit', Julie Chen of 'The Early Show' and 'Big Brother', and Jeff Probst of 'Survivor', are among the CBS prime time television stars who attended.

CBS Sports personalities Greg Gumbel, Dan Dierdorf, Dan Marino, James Brown, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason were also on hand.

CBS Scene has been in the works at Patriot Place for the last year. CBS President Leslie Moonves was part of the planning along with Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

"We talked about it a couple of years ago, and it's been one of the easiest partnerships," Kraft said. "This is the waterfront property at the mouth of the stadium, and we looked for every concept around the country on how to have a great sports and entertainment bar here."

"This is the greatest sports scene in the world," Moonves said.

The venue includes hundreds of high definition television screens featuring the best of CBS programming, past and present. Games will also be shown on the screens.

Tom Brady said he thinks the area surrounding Gillette Stadium is now much more fan-friendly.

"It's an experience for people to come down here and see what it's all about," Brady said. "I remember the days when this was a horse track. It's amazing what's happened here over the last eight or nine years. A lot of people have worked really hard to put this together.

CBS Scene's general manager, Michael Seznec, said should the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl again this year, CBS Scene will probably put the game on the big screen plus the other 130 flat screens around the room.

The individual flat screens are at nearly every table, each with state-of-the-art technology that allows customers to watch whatever they want.

"There's no other place in the world like this," said Julie Chen. "There's so much history. All the old shows, whether it's "Gilligan's Island" or "I Love Lucy" or the "Bob Newhart Show" or "Dallas." You can hear the NFL theme song – there's so much going on here. I'm so jealous of Boston right now."

The restaurant is built around a spiral staircase that goes three stories high and is covered with high-tech monitors – all in the shape of the CBS eye.

The CBS Scene décor features favorite stars and shows of CBS past.
