BALTIMORE (WBZ) ― The divorced father accused of abducting his 7-year-old daughter agreed Monday to be taken back to Massachusetts to face charges there following his weekend arrest in Maryland, where authorities believe he fled to start a new life.

The man known as Clark Rockefeller, 48, faced a fugitive charge of abduction of a minor child at an arraignment hearing Monday, said Patricia Deros of the state's attorney office. He also faces charges in Boston of felony custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Rockefeller will be transported to Massachusetts Tuesday and could be arraigned the same day at Boston Municipal Court, if time allows, said Jake Wark, a spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley.

Rockefeller was arrested Saturday when authorities lured him out of his new home with a call, saying his 26-foot catamaran at a nearby marina was taking on water.

Rockefeller's daughter, Reigh Boss, was inside the home and not harmed. The girl had been missing since July 27, when authorities said Rockefeller took her during a supervised visit in the Back Bay.

Boston police said it appears Rockefeller was setting up a new life in Maryland. The seller of a Baltimore home said he bought it for $450,000 in cash a month ago and said his name was Chip Smith. He mentioned his daughter was coming to live with him.

Authorities have uncovered several aliases and are trying to determine his real identity.

Rockefeller, who was wearing handcuffs, leg irons, a blue polo shirt, khaki pants and glasses, did not have an attorney present at Monday's short hearing.
