Boston Police have arrested a Dorchester man believed responsible for the grisly murder of a Boston hairstylist last January.
A grand jury indicted Steven Odegard, 41 of Dorchester, for the stabbing death of 20-year-old Daniel Yakovleff. When police went to arrest Odegard on Tuesday they were unable to find him. Odegard turned himself into police late Tuesday night.
Odegard is actually the one who called police to report Yakovleff's murder. When police arrived at Odegard's Tuttle Street apartment, they found Yakovleff dead in Odegard's bed, suffering from "multiple and severe stab wounds."
An 11 month inquiry, "indicates that Odegard retrieved a knife from his own kitchen and stabbed Yakovleff multiple times, killing him," according to a release from Boston Police.
