Doctor Pleads Guilty To Exposing Himself At YMCA

SEEKONK (WBZ) ― A doctor from Rhode Island has been sentenced to two years in prison for exposing himself to young boys at the YMCA in Seekonk.

Dr. Andrew Stone, 37, of Barrington R.I., will only serve four months of that sentence.

He pleaded guilty Monday in Taunton District Court to four counts of open and gross lewdness in connection with an incident at the Newman YMCA on Route 44 in December 2006.

After he serves his time, Stone will go to an addiction treatment center in Texas.

He was also ordered to stay away from YMCA's and is banned from having any unsupervised contact with anyone under 26, or with victims or witnesses.

Stone, who is licensed to practice internal medicine, had admitting privileges at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Those privileges were suspended after his arrest.
