The widow of a doctor killed when an elderly woman drove her car into Brockton Hospital has filed a $10 million suit against the driver.
Kathleen Vasa of Duxbury filed the lawsuit Friday in Brockton Superior Court against Jane Berghold of Rockland, Vasa family attorney Brad Greenberg told the Brockton Enterprise.
Berghold, 76, has admitted driving her car into the hospital's radiation therapy unit on Oct. 15. It struck and killed Dr. Mark Vasa, the head of the unit. A hospital receptionist, Susan Plante, 59, of East Bridgewater, also died from her injuries.
Berghold has been charged with vehicular homicide and driving to endanger.
