Landmark Sign In Brighton To Come Down

BRIGHTON (WBZ) ― It's one of the most recognizable signs in Boston; and it's coming down.

Chances are you've probably seen the landmark Dunkin Donuts sign at the corner of North Beacon Street and Market Street in Brighton.

The sign dates back to 1957.

A spokesman for Dunkin Donuts told the Boston Globe that the sign has deteriorated to an unacceptable condition, and needs to be replaced.

However, some preservationists say it's a piece of history and want the sign saved.

Is there something more you would like us to know about this story? Do you have a news tip to share with WBZ?
