FBI Bags Man Of Many IDs

Boston Fugitive Arrested In Seattle

SEATTLE, Wash. (CBS) ― The FBI has nabbed a Boston man living under stolen identities on the West Coast.

Scott Andrew Shain was arrested in Seattle. He's facing several charges, including stealing the identities of dead people.

Shain was arrested two weeks ago and was charged under the name "John Doe." It took the FBI a couple of weeks to confirm Shain's true identity because he had so many fake ones.

Shain's parents made the positive identification from photographs after being contacted by the FBI.

Shain is a former officer's candidate in the Air Force, but was kicked out in the early 1980s.

After that, his parents say, he just sort of fell off the face of the earth.
