A flag display which sits atop a private school in Salem has been vandalized.
Officials at the Greenhouse School noticed 15 flags on the school's roof had disappeared on Tuesday night.
Five flags were found tossed in a puddle on the roof, but the other 10 are missing.
The school immediately put up the remaining flags.
"We have no way of knowing whether it was just vandalism or a more sinister attack on the diversity and internationalism the school represents. But either way, we felt it necessary to show that we remain undeterred," said administrative director Dan Welch.
The Greenhouse School has flags from about 50 countries and adds new ones to represent the country of origin of students, parents, interns and staff.
Police have no suspects at this time.
