Franklin has been honored as one of the "Ten Best Towns for Families" in America.
Family Circle magazine conducted the survey looking for towns that had suburban charm with big-city opportunities, affordable housing, good jobs, and top-rated schools.
Editor-in-chief Linda Fears told The Early Show on CBS that her magazine selected small communities where living costs, commute times and crime rates are low, and education and culture are above average.
The nine other towns honored were Castle Rock, Colo., Kennesaw, Ga., Cooper City, Fla., Diamond Bar, Calif., Morton Grove, Ill., Madison, Miss., Cedar Park, Texas, Derby, Kans., and Chanhassen, Minn.
