Police Search House For Clues In Teen's Death
by Eileen Curran
BOSTON (CBS4) ―
Boston police continue to search for clues in the death of a 19-year-old woman. Dominque Samuels' burned body was found early Sunday morning in Franklin Park.
Investigators have been searching Samuels third floor apartment at 9 Woodbine Street in Roxbury. We've learned a search warrant was served and detectives removed several items from the home.
Samuels had lived there for the past five months.
CBS4's Eileen Curran reports police escorted one man from the home on Wednesday, apparently for questioning. He has since been released.
Samuels is a 2004 graduate of Milton High School and a former captain of the cheerleading squad there. Friends say she had recently moved into the Roxbury apartment and was working as a sales associate at an Old Navy store.
Investigators have not yet determined how Samuels died or whether she was sexually assaulted. They believe her body was set ablaze after she was killed.
No suspects have been named and police are seeking tips from the public.
Employees at nearby gas stations and stores have reportedly been questioned to determine if anyone had been seen filling canisters or buying accelerants.
