Fund Set Up For Hit & Run Victim's Family

A fund has been established for the family of theĀ Brighton father who was struck and killed by an alleged hit-and-run driver earlier this week.
35-year-old Fredy Zepeda suffered massive head injuries in Wednesday's accident in Brighton. He died Friday.
Zepeda had just buckled his one-year-old son into his car seat and was standing outside the driver's side of the car when witnesses say a woman ran him over and then tried to leave the scene.
Cathy Bergin-August of Watertown was charged Thursday with negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Prosecutors say she will face more serious charges Monday now that Zepeda has died.
A memorial has been established to assist Zepeda's family.

Family members tell WBZ that Zepeda was a devoted father of two from Guatemala.
"He was an excellent father; very responsible family man," his wife Milvia said. "Very hardworking, honest, honorable father. A loving husband and wanted to live for his family."
