Prosecutors Look To Send Pring-Wilson Back To Jail

CAMBRIDGE (CBS4) ― Prosecutors are trying to send former Harvard student back to prison.

Alexander Pring-Wilson was convicted of stabbing Michael Colono of Cambridge in 2003 -- a conviction that was later thrown out because Pring-Wilson's lawyers were not allowed to introduce evidence of Colono's violent past.

Pring-Wilson claims he was acting in self defense when he stabbed Colono during a street fight.

On Tuesday, prosecutors will head to the state's highest court to argue the trial judge abused her powers when she ordered a new trial.
