Police say a 26-year old Holbrook man was murdered last July for one reason -- his killers wanted his flat screen TV and stereo. "It's unconscionable," said Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating.
Police say 26-year-old Osaha Ighodaro was beaten to death, then tied up, as the three killers looted his apartment.
Under arrest now are 21-year-old Jeffrey Anthony of Chelsea, 20-year-old Josh Barrios of Taunton, and 22-year-old Nekita Martin of Chelsea. Police are still looking for the man they call the ringleader, 26-year-old Kencheser Martin, Nekita's brother.
According to police,
last July, Ighodaro met Nekita Martin at a Boston nightclub. The two went back to his Holbrook apartment. The next day, Nekita apparently told her brother, Kencheser Martin, about the flat screen TV and fancy stereo that Ighodaro had.
Several days later, with Nekita acting as the getaway driver, the three men entered the apartment, beat Ighodaro to death, and tied him up.
Then, they allegedly looted his home.
Police say the trail went cold until two weeks ago, when Chelsea police arrested Jeffrey Anthony on an outstanding warrant. When they put his fingerprints into a computer base, it came up with a match to the fingerprints found in Ighodaro's apartment.
Then, according to police, Anthony implicated his accomplices.
Even though three suspects are now under arrest and charged with murder, Kencheser Martin is still on the loose. Kencheser is black, five-feet-eight inches tall, and weighs 175 pounds. He may be armed and should not be approached. Anyone spotting him should call 911.
