Holbrook Murder Suspect Caught In South Carolina

CANTON (WBZ) ― A man wanted in connection with a murder in Holbrook has been captured in South Carolina.

Norfolk District Attorney William Keating says 26-year-old Kencheser  Martin was taken into custody Monday following a traffic stop in Richland County, S.C.

Keating says Massachusetts authorities became aware that he was being held under a false name, and alerted South Carolina law enforcement, who are now holding Martin on a murder warrant.

Keating says Martin is one of four people who bound, gagged and beat 25-year-old Osahon Ighodaro to death last July so they could steal electronics from his Holbrook apartment.

Three other suspects are being held without bail after pleading not guilty last week.
