Police Investigate Jamaica Plain Double Shooting

BOSTON (WBZ) ― Boston police are investigating a double shooting that happened Friday night in Jamaica Plain.

Two people, ages 19 and 41, were shot around 10 p.m. Friday on Center Street near Wise Street, police said. At least one of the victims is in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said the shooting suspect, who was seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, fled on a bike toward Columbus Street.

One victim was taken to Boston Medical Center while the other was rushed to Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Boston police said a homicide unit had been called to investigate the scene of the shooting.

No further details were released.
