John Bish Still Critical After Massive Stroke

WORCESTER (WBZ) ― John Bish remains in critical condition at UMass Memorial Medical Center following a massive stroke.

The 58-year-old Bish fell ill on June 15, nearly seven years after his daughter Molly was kidnapped and murdered.

According to the Bish family, John has also developed a heart infection.

A fund has been established to help offset any medical expenses not covered by insurance.

Donations to the John Bish recovery fund can be made at any Spencer Savings Bank. Checks can also be mailed to Spencer Savings Bank, 176 Main St., Spencer, MA 01562

16-year-old Molly Bish disappeared from her Comins Pond lifeguard post in Warren on June 27, 2000. Her remains were found on a remote hillside in Palmer in 2003. Police have yet to find her killer.

John and Magi Bish have been outspoken advocates of child protection laws since Molly's disappearance.
