Senator Kennedy, You have always been there for us. No matter what the issue, in good times and bad, on both sides of the fence. You never wavered. Now we all need to be there for you. We will keep you in our prayers until the Good Lord says "ALRIGHT ALREADY! I'll make it happen!!" All synagogues in the area should extend to you a Misha Bera which is a Hebrew prayer. Hugs to you and all of the Kennedy Clan.
-Adriane, Northborough
Irrespective of one's political affiliation or vantage points, one cannot deny that Ted Kennedy's longevity and commitment to public service has kept alive in all of us a most glorious segment of American culture and history. In God we trust with Ted Kennedy and us. Amen.
-With the greatest regards, Edward, Belmont, New Hampshire
My heart is breaking for you and your family, Sen. Ted. You were so kind to my sister when she needed help concerning a matter in the Air Force. God Bless you and return you to the best of health. We all need you.
-Alice, Kingston, New Hampshire
I pray for you with all my heart. 76 is young these days and you are the most dynamic man in politics...the kindest, classiest, and best. I love you and your whole family and pray that there is some way you will beat this prognosis. I wish you now a full recovery and no pain and suffering. There is always HOPE. Listen to Vicki and don't overdo it!! Hang in there, Ted!!
- Shalom & Love, Donna, North Grafton
I am not a Kennedy supporter but I am sorry to hear of his troubles. I hope things turn out well for him and his family, and he is able to beat this!
-Diane, Lawrence
My thoughts and prays are with Senator Kennedy and his family. I am a big Kennedy supporter always was and always will be, they have done so much for this State and are well respected.
-Maureen, Warren
I am a staunch Republican, Mr. Kennedy who sits on the opposite side of the aisle. I do however, have an enormous amount of respect for the countless stories that have been told about how you are the "go to man" when something goes wrong. If more politicians were more concerned with the plights of their neighbors, and less concerned with their press, I think we would all be better off. There are few men in politics that respond to the stories that can make or break a man as quickly as you do. Most don't respond at all. Most cries for help go unanswered. And you do it all without recognition. Although we have different political views, we share a bond in basic human kindness. God Bless you and good luck in the toughest fight you've fought yet. Like all the battles before, I have confidence that you will be victorious!!
-Kat, Londonderry, N.H.
Dear Sen Kennedy: I am very sorry to hear about your recent illness...I first met you with my Father Carl A Maccarone, when I was a young girl, thru a mutual friend of his Patrick Loftus of South Boston, and also Joe Moakley.. I wish you and your family well...I also worked for Sen. Charles Shannon from the Winchester up in the state Senate and met you their as well...Good Luck we know you will bounce back...
-Lynda Maccarone Baiungo
Prayers for you and family.

My younger brother was DX with cancer back in 1978. Senator Kennedy (in our house we now fondly call him "Uncle Teddy") found this out and started corresponding with him. He not only wrote to my brother Mike but would call him. The calls could be to our home but he was also known to call my brother when he was having his radation treatments at MGH. Here you had a man who I am sure was busy but took the time to reach out to my brother. A young man of 16 years of age who was in a battle for his life. Sadly my brother lost his courageous battle April 27, 1979. That was also the last day my brother got a note from "Uncle Teddy". He did send flowers to his funeral. I know first hand how important "Uncle Teddy's" calls to my brother were. Years ago I went to Senator Kennedy's office in DC to thank him in person. He wasn't there but I left him a note of thanks. His small act of kindess of reaching out made such a huge difference in my brother's short life.
-Mary-Clare Condon-Dalzell
Besides praying & showing support for Senator Kennedy, we need to follow his example now to help people and stand for justice in our nation and in the world.

We are heart broken hearing the news of Ted Kennedys illness. He has done so much for this state and the country. We need him back on his feet and back in Washington working for the people and the country like only he can. Our prayers are with him and his family. We are wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
-Most Sincerely, The Callahan Family
Senator My prayers to you and your family. You have touched my life in many ways and one way is to keep on fighting for what you believe in. Thank you for what you do for our state and for the people in it!
-Mary Wheeler
My prayers are with Senator Kennedy and his family and friends. I understand what is going through his mind right now because I myself am a 7 year cancer survivor. I pray that he makes it through and to his family and friends and Senator Kennedy I pray that you beat this.
-Cyndi Day
Senator, you are like family to me and my family who were born in Boston. We love you and need you. You are our champion. I know you will get through this because your brothers are watching over their little brother. You have been fighting your whole political life for the common man and underdog. Now it is time for you to turn that strength inward. Your extraordinary family, friends and average folks like myself will be with you every step of the way. I know your dear mother Rose's genes will carry you through. Senator, you are a very special man, and the Kennedys are one special family. I know you will beat this.
-Amy
God Bless You, Sir!!!
-Mary
Dear Senator Kennedy, You came to my high school (Rockland Senior High) way back in the early 60's! Your heart has shown true compassion for all of us under your leadership. Now we have all the compassion for you and your family as you fight your condition. May we give you the gift of privacy from the media and private citizens.
-Peace, Annette
Praying for your full recovery, and for peace and comfort for you and your family.
-Nancy Jankoski
When my husband, Bruce Bremer, went through a lung transplant in Pittsburgh, PA, Senator Kennedy helped us stay on the transplant list and receive a lung. He helped me when I was desperate since we were out of network with our insurance. He then helped us come back home by way of an air ambulance. I am a teacher and I can honestly tell you that he was my savior. Many, many prayers are with him and his dear family. My heart goes out to him.
-Nancy, Franklin
Dear Senator Kennedy, I send you only good wishes and thoughts and pray for the strength to get you through this illness. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for so many people. I only hold the highest respect and love for you as our senator, the very best ever in our history. You have touched our family personally when my Dad, a WW2 disabled veteran had a stroke and needed help, you were there! We pray that you recover as you are the best senator and human being we have ever had in politics! Please get well soon.
-Eleanor, Pembroke
My dad (he died about 10 years ago at the age of 86), was a good, a kind and probably the most honest person I have ever known. He had little or no use for just about all politicians, yet he admired you for everything you have done and everything you have stood for. He always maintained that you were the one person who would willingly fight for the working man. It might not sound like much, but my dad wasn't given to flattery. He absolutely meant it--and I absolutely agree with him. You have been our champion and may you continue to be so for many, many years to come. Massachusetts and the Senate needs you. I wish you well.
-Cynthia, Andover
My prayers are with you Senator Ted Kennedy. I am praying for you so that you will make a full recovery and be around for a long time to come. Take care.
-Andrea, Worcester
Mr. Kennedy - You are truly the voice of the people of Massachusetts. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, you mean so much to us all.
-Kim, Lynn
I've been a Kennedy admirer for years and I'm only 43. I owe my job in health care to Senator Kennedy. He is a champion for all. I wish him a speedy recovery. In Hebrew we have a prayer for healing and the sick called a Mishaberach. Although Senator Kennedy isn't of the Jewish faith, I feel it is important to send a Mishaberach to him and pray for a speedy recovery. Massachusetts needs you.
-Lisa, Brockton
I am saddened by the diagnosis and wish you a speedy recovery. You are in my prayers. Your contributions to Massachusetts and this nation are quite remarkable. You even take the time to help individuals like me in spite of your busy schedule. When I had a premature baby and couldn't go back to work, you helped me bring my mom here, so that she'd take care of the baby, while I return to work. The US embassy in Lagos Nigeria gave my mom an appointment for a visa interview six months from the date I was supposed to return to work, despite the fact that I wrote a letter, appealing to them. Needless to say, barely a week after I wrote to you about it, my mom was contacted and granted a visa. I'm sorry, I've not been able to express my gratitude till now. Thank you. I'm so grateful to be one of your constituents. God bless you and I'll keep praying for your recovery.
-Anne, Marshfield
I am a Viet Nam vet and Ted is always in my thoughts and part of my military past. I was in DaNang in 1967/68 for 13 months a tumultuous time and when my time was up I of course wanted to be stationed on the east coast, I grew up in Norwood and Popponesett Beach on the Cape. The Navy sent me orders for the West coast, I immediately wrote Ted a letter telling him of my plight. He wrote a letter to the Department of the Navy who wrote a letter to the Captain of my ship in Seattle. We went back to the Gulf of Tonkin but I heard the HR Officer and the Captain talking saying that I knew Ted Kennedy and the rest of my time in the Navy was heaven. It probably doesn't sound like much but he left an lasting impression on this young sailor and it brings tears to my eyes when I hear about his plight. He will always be in my prayers and thoughts
-Kevin, Newburyport
When my mother became ill I called the nearest hospital. For 30 minutes they questioned me about my mother's insurance benefits, medical history and ability to pay. My mother had no social security. She was 101 years old and all she had was a small check from SSI. While all this was going on my mother was steadily growing worse. At my wits end I called Senator Kennedy's office. Within 15 minutes 4 state troopers on motorcycles with an ambulance was at my door. My mother was taken to the nearest hospital and promptly admitted. I am a cancer survivor now myself and you may well believe Senator Kennedy is in my entire family's thoughts and prayers.
-Hilda, Brockton
Senator Kennedy, you and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers. You are an inspiration to so many people - what you have done for the people of Massachusetts will never be matched. I hope that you will soon be in Washington, DC again fighting for the people that you so care about! May God bless you!
-Julia, Sudbury
We came to know personally of Senator Kennedy's commitment to us during the 9/11 crisis. He took the time to phone every Mass. family who had lost a family member and was/is a constant source of strength for us. Now it's our turn to return the devotion and compassion he has demonstrated to us. Our love prayers and strength are with you.
-Dorothy, Medford

My daughter has a handicapped woman she takes care of. When I mean handicapped I mean can't walk, is tube-fed and can't speak. My daughter had trouble getting medical supplies for her that is until she contacted Senator Ted Kennedy. Supplies were then there the first of every month for this woman. Good luck and God Bless Mr. Kennedy.
-William, Sterling

I pray that Camelot has just a little more magic left.
-Marc, Fairhaven
But for your direct intervention, Senator Ted, my husband and I would have gone homeless in the early 90s. It has always been in my mind to thank you for your kindness, so I am finally doing so now. My parents campaigned hard for your brother in 1960, and I have voted for Kennedys ever since. Thank you, Senator. You are greatly loved. May you get well soon.
-Mary, Harwich Port
I just want to say you are in good hands at MGH. May the lord JESUS Christ be with you and your family.

I have a very special memory to share. When I was in high school in the late 70s I had to write to a senator for my English Classs so I chose Ted Kennedy. Ted Kennedy actually responded to my request with a personal letter. I was so surprised and happy!!
-Joan, Dunstable
I moved from Boston 15 years ago I always loved the Kennedy family. I will pray for you, Teddy.

We have been kicked in the stomach with the unfortunate news of our Senator Ted Kennedy. We now must fight along with Sen. Kennedy and his family and believe we will overcome this bump in the road. Back to my grandparents who came from Italy int the early 1900s we have followed the loving help that the entire family of Kennedys have give to us lucky people in Mass. May God be with you every step of the way and may we never lose you.
-Tammy & Nick, Charlemont

Please have faith! My dad was diagnosed a little over 2 years ago with a glioblastoma at Mass General and was told he had 8-14 months. Today, with experimental medical therapy at Mass General Hospitla, he is STILL walking and talking!! Again, the family needs to have hope.
-Jill, Gardner
