Police Arrest NH Murder Suspect In Revere
BOSTON (CBS4) ―
An Epping, N.H. woman, who authorities say killed a 24-year-old man and burned his body, was arrested in Revere Sunday afternoon.
Sheila LaBarre, 47, is accused of first-degree murder in the death of Kenneth Countie, who recently moved to New Hampshire from Wilmington and had been living with LaBarre for a month.
Authorities in Revere say they got a tip and worked with Boston police to make the arrest, which happened in the vicinity of the Northgate Shopping Center. A warrant had been issued for her arrest.
Countie was last seen in Epping on March 17 and he was reported missing March 23.
Officials say LaBarre killed Countie around March 21 in Epping, then incinerated his body.
The suspect was charged with being a fugitive from justice and possession of marijuana.
LaBarre will be held overnight by Revere police. She's scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at Chelsea District Court.
