2 Missing After Boat Flips In Lake Winnipesaukee

CENTER HARBOR, N.H. (AP) ― Two people are missing after a small boat overturned in New Hampshire's frigid Lake Winnipesaukee.
 
The Marine Patrol says it got a call about an overturned boat around 9:30 Saturday morning in Cavaliers Cove in Center Harbor.

It says its officers, along with Center Harbor police and firefighters and Fish and Game officers are searching for two males believed to have been in the boat.

Marine Patrol Sgt. Crystal McLain said no one saw the small rowboat-style boat flip over.

She said authorities believe they know who was in the boat, but are withholding their names until families can be reached.

McLain said crews have checked the shoreline, to no avail, so they believe the two people are in the 48-degree water.
