Suspect In Medfield Murder 'Armed And Dangerous'

MEDFIELD (WBZ) ― A manhunt is on for Andrew Boisvert, the ex-husband of a Medfield mother who was found murdered last week.

Police say he is armed and dangerous.

Boisvert is wanted in connection with the killing of Meg Ninos, 47, last Wednesday in her Medfield home.

Investigators say he called 911 to report the death and was questioned by police that night and allowed to leave.

An arrest warrant was issued Friday.

Friends and family of Meg Ninos say the two were in discussions over the custody of their 7-year-old daughter.  Ninos also had two restraining orders against Boisvert.

Ninos's brother Steve remembered his sister as a devoted mother.

"She did... everything she could for Maggie," he told WBZ.

Police say Meg Ninos was beaten to death.

"I never knew he had a violent side," said Steve Ninos.

He told WBZ his family is only now learning about the couple's troubled relationship. He said his sister kept her problems private to protect her daughter.

"She didn't want anyone to know. Didn't want the neighbors to know. Didn't want Maggie to be involved in that."

The couple split before their daughter was born. Ninos said Boisvert was an on-again, off-again father to his child.

"She wanted him to at least be in Maggie's life. To have a father figure."

Police believe Boisvert is armed, traveling in a black Jeep Wrangler with Massachusetts license plates 781-KLO. The vehicle belongs to Boisvert's lawyer.

They say he has a visible laceration on his head.  If you see him, investigators say call police and do not approach him.
