Health Care Plan Approved For Low Income Families
BOSTON (AP) ―
Lower income single adults will be required to pay between $18 and $106 a month for health care under regulations for the state's sweeping new health care law.
The plan was approved by the Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector on Friday.
That's the panel overseeing the state's health care initiative.
The amount people will pay varies depending on what income bracket the person falls into, from the federal poverty level to three times that.
Under the plan, a family of two adults and one child will pay between $36 and $240 a month.
