Video Shows Molly Bish Minutes Before Abduction

by Kathy Curran
WARREN (CBS4) ― In Warren Monday night, a vigil in the memory of Molly Bish. Tuesday marks the six-year anniversary of her disappearance.

CBS4 has obtained never before seen video of Bish, from the day she disappeared to what would be the final moments together with her mother.

"It gives a view of her moments before she disappeared and is murdered," said Magi Bish.

It's a frame by frame snapshot of Molly Bish thirteen minutes before she disappeared from Warren's Comins pond back on June 27, 2000.

The 16 year-old lifeguard was caught on tape at this Xtra-mart about a mile away from the pond.

We rode along with her mom, Magi, as she re-traced the steps of that horrific day. "We went into Sunoco where ther's an Xtra-mart to get some water," said Magi Bish.

At 9:47 a.m. Molly and Magi walk into the store. Four minutes later you can see them here heading out the door.

"You can see the time frame and see how quickly she's gone. Moments later her life is snatched and we can't get that back," said Magi.

"This is moments before she reports for duty. She's walking into a trap. It shows a beautiful girl going about her business who suddenly disappears," said John Bish, Molly's father.

The video shows how quickly the lives of the Bish family were forever changed .

"It's the first thought when I wake up, the last I have before I go to bed....what happened to Molly?" said John Bish.

At 9:56 a.m. Molly leaves the Warren Police Dept. after picking up the lifeguard radio.

At 9:58 a.m. Magi drops Molly off at the pond.

Investigators originally believed Molly was at her lifeguard post for about 6-8 minutes before she disappeared. In the last year, they've narrowed that window. Now they believe Molly was there for only about two minutes and she was gone."

That puts the time at 10:00 a.m. Minutes earlier Molly was here with her mom. No-one knows what happened 13 minutes after this surveillance tape rolled.

Molly's remains were found in 2003 in the woods of Palmer.

There have been suspects in this case but Molly's killer has never been found.

"Finding 26 bones of Molly is not what we wanted but it did bring us some peace but we will not stop until we find who harmed her," said John Bish.

"This is a cry to everyone who's listening. No family should have to endure this. No one has the right to take your child," said Magi.
